How I met Patrick Stewart
I waited outside the stage door after seeing him in the play A Life In The Theatre in February 2005. I’m not ashamed to wait and get my programme signed if I really admire the actor.

In the Summer of 2003 I worked at Waterstones in Piccadilly Circus, the biggest bookshop in the UK. Hillary did a signing of her memoirs there. We, the staff, lined up and shook her hand as she went to take her seat at the table (the sign above pointing to the gay/lesbian book section had been removed). She was very short, but very well presented and neat. She also looked like she’d had a lot of “work” done. Still, I got a signed copy of her book. eBay anyone?
Well I shook his hand after the Gogol Bordello gig last night… but I would very much like to have a conversation with him. This doesn’t count as “meeting”, I don’t think.
I still want to meet him, but right now I’m not sure whether I’d rather shake his hand, or kick him.
We met in the summer, when she came over with her family to see England. We commemorated the day by getting tattoos (not matching).
